Welcome to the forum

What YEAR and what engine size?

If its fuel injected then the IAC(idle air control) valve on the upper intake is used by the computer to set the idle when stopped, these can get dirty and need a good cleaning every 5 to 10 years or so

Also is it a manual transmission or an automatic?

Do what Ron says. Every time. Check the IAC then post back. Trust me.

After finally getting tired i took it to a friend and he managed to figure it out. Their was a connector that was corroded and it wasnt allowing the transmission to shift witch ultimately made the truck die when it came to a stop
