engine died on me the other day..

so the other morning i was running late for work and i was haulin ***, i was probably doing 30 or so and i hit a turn, not too hard, but i should've been going slower. as soon as i cut the wheel the engine and power steering and everything cut out.

i pulled over, cranked it over a few times with no success. let it cool down for like 5 seconds, tried a third time and started up. that was thursday morning and ever since i have had no issues and i inspected the engine and saw nothing damaged or loose.

the only thing i could think of is that the serpintine belt went out for a brief second or something any ideas?

Don't think it would be your belt. I'm not really sure what it would be though. Did it just die or did it give a little warning (run rough, act like it had no gas, etc)?

Does the fuel pump run? Check the fuel pump inertia switch

EDIT...didn't read that it runs now...try the same corner again

You must've found the Bermuda Triangle in that corner... go back there and see if you disappear and end up in another dimension.

Let us know what happens!

lol. i'm not too sure what happened. maybe it took too much air in or something? i was revvin the gas a little bit before i hit the corner and i got an aftermarket CAI. it's been fine since i'm hoping it was an operator error of sorts and not a mechanical one.

The same thing happened to me in my 2.5L when the timing belt broke. That can't be your case, though.

Maybe his timing belt skipped a tooth and it took a little while for the computer to learn it's new timing?

Just a leap out into the dark here...
