I have a 2007 2.5dci Ranger with a starting issue. I can drive a distance, turn engine off. The engine will crank ok but not start. If I wait 10 minutes and try again it will start. This has jappened a number of times. Just been serviced with new fuel
filter. .

 

I get the feeling you are on the other side off the pond, and that your 2.5dci is a diesel.

We are based in North America and haven't seen a diesel Ranger since about 1986.
