Ok so the rangers auto tensioner crapped out on me and im too broke to get someone else to replace it so im taking it upon myself. Please tell me how to do it on a 3.0l v6.

The tensioner for the serpentine belt ?
Remove the bolt from the center and pull the unit off , take note of the position of the small locator pin on the side facing the engine.
Install the new tensioner , placing the locator pin in the recess on the engine and install the bolt.

but instead of pay paling anyone, spend alittle more and buy a Chilton or Haynes manual

 

your better off buying the book, dont bother with the CD's you can buy on Ebay. get a book. a book will help you fix your truck faster anyways...
