alright like most of the guys on here there are still some that are in high school, just getting in, returning-victory lapper, anyways im a victory lapper and decided to stay back a year to get some extra courses and take some classes i would actually enjoy. Now for me its exam time, i dont know bout some of the other guys and how your school system is setup in the states. Anyways i have an english exam today at 1 and an art one on weds and then a whole week off!! , who ever is in high school what do you have??

 

back when i was in HS over 5 years ago.. we would have half days for exams 2 exams a day for 3 days then have thur fri off then come back

 

our exams started last week but in class ones so its not much of big deal, the real big exams started today and end friday and you can only have up to 3 exams in one day if your really unlucky. and if your lucky depending on how many courses you have you can do 2 monday 2 tues and be done and have the whole week off to work on the truck or just do somthing.

 

yeah we had ours last week, we had mon. and tues. as half days and took 3 finals a day. Then had wed. off. Thurs and fri. were norm

 

well, back in the 70's we had school for 10 months and walked bare foot in the snow up hill both to and from school
not sure what the policy or transport is now.....

 

Is this like winter break along with Spring break? We don't have winter where I am from, haha. We would have exams before Christmas and in May, which were half days...other than that, we were in school.

College is so much better...

 

this is like a another winter break but a smaller one, we had out winter break from dec 23 t o jan 8, and now exams but if you have like one or two then consider yourself lucky cuz u pretty much have another week off. then we have a march break which is sour spring break, that last a week as well.

forget high school.

 

yes i did, for two reasons. well one i had no choice.

1. In grade 12 they put me in a english course that i did not sign up for, so i could not keep up, we were getting assignments every 3 days!!! And i couldnt change classes cause they were all full so my only option was to drop that class get a no mark and take english again but the right one.

2. I could take some extra courses i knew i was good at and actually enjoyed and improve my average.

 

Im a senior.......this is my last semester, and I dont go at all! I go to our local technical college for 2 hours a day, and then do what ever I want the rest of the day, and I dont have to go on fridays. Its great right now.........then in april, I have to start full time at the tech school.

 

i graduated 8 years ago (wow that seems a long time ago) and i dont remember much from HS besides i didnt have to take finals my last semester my senior year

 

We were able to get out of our exams last semester senior year also.

What I remember though, was when the Jrs. were taking the TAKS test (standardized test required for graduation) we seniors got the days off that they took the test. So I spent 4 days straight at my girlfriend's house drunk out of my mind, lol.

 

I am a senior right now (last semester thank god) and it is exacly how stone decribed it. testing was last week for us. and i only have to go to school for 2 periods but i am taking some auto classes to fill up my time. and in june graduation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

lol ill be doing some of that tues and this friday, i would thurs but i got work friday morning.
