Exhaust

Hey guys so I have a 2005 Ranger XLT 4.0L and I was wondering if there was anything you could do to mod the exhaust to make it a little louder and a bit more aggressive? Thanks :)

Pipe organ
Larger diameter longer tubes make for lower notes.

Don't touch anything from exhaust manifold back to Cats, but after the Cat(and O2 sensor) you can go with larger diameter pipe and if required, muffler

Do you mean from the end of the muffler to the exhaust tip?

From the end of the "emissions required parts" to the tail pipe .

Some places require mufflers some do not, he wanted louder so.............but legal is legal, mufflers are not "emissions" related, just noise related, lol.

Icon6 Quiet, please!

I like my Ranger (and my neighborhood) quiet. Though I do sometimes enjoy the throaty rumble of a powerful beast.

Get a new muffler like the Flowmaster to make it louder without being raspy.

True. Flowmaster is known for it's rich and throaty sound.

The tailpipe on my Ranger is in front of the back tire. My muffler is about the size of a dinner plate, and I have all the emissions parts. That all being said, I have a rather loud vehicle.
