Find some Silicon spray in a can. i did that last week and i got dumped on with rain then snow, and had no problem other than my lock iced up a bit.

silicon spray is ideal.. wd40 will disintegrate the rubber

...wish I had done this before the REALLY cold weather & snow hit here.

Both my doors were frozen solid.. almost broke the driver side handle off getting the door open & that was after spraying the entire door with de-icer.

The pass side door was a nightmare too, pushed it open from inside & the latch froze...door wouldn't close at all.
If my doors aren't frozen next time I go out, I'm gonna shoot on a whole can of something.

Never had this much trouble with my doors freezing & the truck has had over an inch of solid ice on it before.... I just chipped away at the ice around the door & it popped right open then.

Smear a thin film of silicone dielectric grease on the seals . It will last much longer than silicone spray.
Don't use any petroleum product (vaseline , WD40,ect ) as it will deteriorate the rubber over time .

I use the Permatex silicone spray on the seals and on the metal parts of the door that meet the seals, and white lithium grease in the locks and latches. I've also used dry moly lube on the seals but I prefer silicone spray.

i was almost locked out of my truck the other night. both doors were frozen. like buggman, i had a fear of the handle breaking off. finally got in and when i got home my dome light wouldn't go out. turns out my passenger door had opened up while parking and i had to close it.

Just get a cotton swab and some olive oil - works jsut as well as a petroleum solvent, and way easier to clean up
