Got free labor at local Ford dealer today
Well had a check engine light for a week or two now. Talked to Stone and Justin about it and they pretty much helped me narrow it down to the charchol canister on the fuel EVAP system. Well dad went today to look at buyin a new Edge limited (suv), and while we were there i figured i'd go ahead and get the oil in my truck changed and have the CEL checked out. They didnt charge to check it, and come to find out the canister was bad because i had been OVER FILLING my truck with gas and it was leaking back into the canister. I asked how much it was and he said $233 w/labor! The part was $62 and the rest was labor. I said HA its not that hard to put it in and i'll just do it myself. So i left the truck to get finished up and me and dad went to get lunch and the writer called back 5 min after we left, and said if i paid for the part he'd take care of the labor! So there ya go that's how ya get free labor... LOL!! no pics for that so i'll just throw up a random one lol!!

What did you do, de-lift it?
Nice job on the labor charges. I did the same thing for getting a stereo in the new truck. They said they would tack the price onto the final bill for a new stereo, and I said no, I'll just have you guys pay for it. Only paid $69 out of pocket ($250 credit to a radio shop, $150 install fee, $169 stereo).

lol. Sounds like they installed it before getting your approval, and decided it was just easier to leave it in.
Man I used to hate how Oregon is a full service only (you can NOT pump your own gas), and people would keep trying to top off the truck. They would try to keep pushing it until it spills. I always yell at them to hang it up and they look at me like I'm stupid. Jerks.
