Help checking out a 1993 Ranger
I hope this is okay to post...
So, I'm a noob but I'm learning. Going to pick up a 93 Ranger on Monday and was wondering if there were any Ranger experts in the SoCal area who could tag along with me to check it out before I buy. Will compensate appropriately. Shot in the dark but this seems like a cool enough community. Thanks in advance

I hope you get a response
But................I won't do that for friends, even good friends who's vehicle I will work on, and hard pressed to do it for family, lol, even though I HAVE TO
As there is no "upside", only a downside, to "checking out a used vehicle", especially one that's 29 years old
Its a used vehicle, so engine or transmission can blow up on the way home after buying it, and its now "my fault" because I should have known that, lol
If it works great for the next 20 years then "I am forgotten" YOU made a good purchase
No upside, only a downside
Good article to read here: https://www.therangerstation.com/for...-buyers-guide/
Check fluids, if any are recently changed it could be a sign of good maintenance OR seller is hiding a problem, lol, so no win scenario even for the best mechanic
In SoCal rust shouldn't be an issue unless its "lived" near the ocean
But high miles are, SoCal vehicles get high miles fast, so low mile vehicles can be a "fib", more than a fact, lol
