Credit union loan for both of my last rangers. I own all my vehicles out right now though. I will never get a loan for anything ever again let alone a car.
I bought into the Whole Drive free Thing from Dave Ramsey and it works.

The only thing I don't believe in of his is the "never use Credit" I use Credit for everything and pay it off at the end of the month. I have a rewards card so I actually make money off of this. Now it is scary if you have no self control, but for me it is great.

Ordered it through the Ford Fleet Manager on my employer X Plan.
Worst part of this whole deal was shortly after delivery, my wife and I separated. I was living/working in Fl, she and my truck were in VA. Came "home" one weekend to visit my sons, no truck in sight. Hmmm.
The loan was in both our names. Her attorney told her to "hide" the truck until I re-financed it in my name only. Then, her attorney gave my credit union no end of BS to let that re-fi happen. Pure harassment.
I finally got it back (from the pastor's barn) almost a year later.
Imagine paying a loan payment and full coverage insurance for a year on a vehicle you can't even FIND, let alone DRIVE. Thankfully, it didn't sit idle all that time. She AND that pastor used it occasionally to haul stuff. And to think I GAVE that pastor two perfectly good, running vehicles in the past, an 87 Accord and a 88 Caprice Classic.
She had the almighty gaul to ask me a while ago if she could "drive my truck for old-times sake". Yeah, right.

well, dad is the 'official' owner since i didnt have enuff credit to buy a new vehical... however,i have paid for most of it. I was doing very well up until my accident last year.... then the money for the truck ran out in august of 06. thats when dad started picking up the payments. I have made payments myself on it here and there since thru jobs i have done.... but if it werent for dad, i wouldnt have the ranger.
I sold the truck I was driving, and started looking for a Ranger. I was truckless for a week or so, and found a Ranger. I bought it myself, well actually there was about a thousand $ difference from what I sold my truck for and the Ranger, so my parents put in the extra money to get it and I paid them back. So its 100% mine.
I bought my first car(may parents added 300) and after a year of dumping money($3200ish, most of which they paid for) into it I told them I wanted/ needed something else that was more reliable. We went over my budget to see if I could afford a newer car and I couldn't so they bought my truck for me. Ihave paid for all the toys and repairs though. Poor truck was bone stock when I bought it.
