How to use a Xcal 2?

Make sure you have the tunes actually on there and hit the "unlock" button on the LiveLoad software so the tuner will work with your truck. It's pretty straight forward on what to do though. If you don't know about what to do on some things like global spark and what not check out Rich's thread about tuning questions. It'll help you a good bit. Just plug it in, hit "Tune Vehicle" then choose what tune you want and just go from there on your options.

I just got back from driving with the new tune and I love it. In my opinion it made a big difference.
I went with LaSota Racing and got a 91 performance tuen, Rich recommended them.
I havent changed any of the settings yet which I need to learn to do. I am not sure what needs to be changed just yet.

It will come on for a second when it is finished, but that is it. There is a note that came with the xcal 2 instructions that instructs you to pull the fuel pump fuse before programming, but I never have.

in that case no, you have no need to adjust the shift pressure. lol and yeah you can adjust the revs per mile and gear ratio with the xcal. its in the optional perameters section. the best way to figure out revs per mile is to wrap a tape around your tire and that will get you the exact circumfrence in inches, than just divide that into a mile. you can just multiply your tire diameter by pie and get the circumfence that way, but the way i described earlier is more accurate because it factors in tire wear
