hey hey... ever thought about this... no ones ever went in for an inspection with these on... why not go in and get your lights checked out... BTW mine have been corrected, if I can find an inspection place I'd be glad to see how it goes...

OK, maybe they dont direct the light exacly like a projector, but they are not that bad! If you aim the reflector properly, there is no more glare than a projector housing. I woulda taken mine out if they were really as bad as you make them out to be.

Ive driven behind several cops (highway patrol) at night with mine... not a problem!

And i think accura put HID in a reflector housing inthe TL a couple years ago...

This has kinda turned me off HID's for my headlights. I'm going to wait and see how they look in the hella housings, and possibly go that route.

Thank you for all the compliments - I Agree with you that 6000K is the best color. I love how they look very white, yet the reflection off of another car's bumper looks purplish/blueish/white.

I drive by cops in my area all the time, I never have any problems. I even had one tell me "nice lights" at McD's once (I was in the drive through) - I think he liked the Exterior LED's too.

PS: I have a killer tail light mod for the ranger in the works but I don't want to tell you guys just yet I'm keeping it a secret.

Hmm any proof of this claim as to being illegal? Not that i don't doubt that they are because I have yet to see a set with DOT approval. Many things are illegal that are done on vehicles. Such as how high or low people make there trucks or cars, Most common place to find out laws would be your state trooper or highway Patrol. I know CHP site discusses even color of tail lights and turn signals.

Everyone is going to have an opinion of what they think. I have had several cars and trucks with the conversion and honestly never bothered me.

Agreed...

They're not DOT approved yet, and I don't know if they will be. But as far as being illegal, it varies from state to state.... Best way to find out is like what midnightrider said, ask a trooper.

^^^ COULDN'T HAVE SAID ALL THAT STUFF ANY BETTER!!!! Dangaranger ^^^

That gun comment was got-dirty... Just to clarify that... Some people are smart on here, others just portray it because they're not. Especially those without rangers on this forum.
