Thats the plan, just something simple to clean it up a bit and to protect everything.

Very noice!

That bumper needs some foglights!

And can you run the cords for the winch under that rusty bar thing instead of through the grille?

Fogs are goin onto the roof rack.

And no. the entire bumper is attached to a 3/8ths inch steel plate that runs along the front crossmember and serves as the mounting points

I have the 8000lb one and it seems to be very durable. It lifted the front of my truck 4ft off the ground without any trouble whats so ever. Also it was on my bosses 07 Ram for 2 years before he gave it to me. And he use to have to pull the work trucks out of fields and snow banks when they got stuck and the trucks weighed in around 14000lbs.

Also PAShooter I am so jealous of your front bumper. I want one.

Trust me, I did my research before I bought.

From what I've gathered the first HF winch's werent reliable at all. They burnt out motors easily. Then they came out with a second version and they seemed to have fixed all the problems with the first version.

I got the 3rd version that goes by a different name but I believe is still reliable.

It feels very durable and I only have two complaints.
1. The leads from the solenoid are extremely short and made it difficult to find a mounting spot.
2. I was under the impression that it came with a mopunting bracket which it did not.

I got a 2yr warranty that was 50 bucks.

I bet you have the 2nd version of the HF winch. Its supposed to be leaps and bounds better than the 1st.

And thanks alot, it definantly takes the truck to a different level I think
