My ignition on my 09 Ford ranger is completely stuck, jammed, lazy, don’t wanna budge however you wanna put it NO I can not move it! Every ignition cylinder replacement video I see requires it to be in the running position which mine currently can not get to… not sure if anyone else has faced this problem and found a way to troubleshoot around it but any knowledgeable suggestions are appreciated!!

Has it been an on going issue?
Not stuck but felt hard to turn some times

The steering wheel lock can sometimes cause this
Try wiggling the steering wheel left and right while turning the key

If automatic try pushing up and down on shifter while turning key

Pull out and insert key the other way
The door and ignition locks only "read" one side of the key
Keys are cut double sided for convenience, so they can be inserted either way and work, but if one side gets worn down...........then that side won't work as well to release lock pins

Try a spare key if possible
