Snow Mishap... OOOOPS!

Well we have at least 6" on the ground, more in some places and well i had been driving around for about 2 hours without a problem in 4wd so while i was turning into an empty parking lot (i was going less than 10mph) (my tread got packed with snow and they were pretty much ice *****) i went to turn and my truck didnt cooperate with me and thought it wanted to go sideways instead, well long story shot i went right into the embankment kinda at an 45* angle. well My first thought was oh F*** oh F*** ahh $*** i done F***ed up my truck.... Well i got out to check and my worst fears were not true i thought i had busted the valiance and bent the bumper or fender... But lucky for me all i Poped was a Bead on the LF tire. I didnt mess up the rim or anything... Im gonna go check the alignment next week at my old job im gonna try to go up to wawa and add some air to my tire and see if i can pop the bead back out...

Oh btw those bottle jacks that come in these Rangers Suck big *****... I need to get a floor jack or hi-lift to keep in my truck cause i use a scissor jack from a Expedition...

But yeah that was my snow mishap soo yeah i know it was nothing major...

Ill post some pictures of the snow in a little bit.. now its ice pellets and snow coming down

i slide into some dudes yard sideways in winter 08/09, no damage to the truck. i drove home right away because a tire was leaking air. got up the next morning and i had flat tires.. i was wtf...i was rolling on a set of brand new 31x10.5x15 BFG A/T's.. i will never run those tires again.. but apparently snow got jammed between the rim and the bead of the tire.. we heated up the rim and melt the snow/ice and it aired back up fine..

when i was home from alberta in the middle of winter one day a few years ago i was driving my old 87 dodge dakota 3.9L v6 2wd and i needed gas, there is a little store out in the middle of nowhere in Roger's Pass. i went to pull in there and slid into the snow bank haha... only pushed the drivers side front bumper in a little bit.. nothing major..

yup stuff happens.your tires should air up just fine, make sure the bead is clean..
