Well the past couple of days I noticed a slight squeak while driving and also a slight noise when turning. And a slight vibration in the steering.( thought it was tire out of balance) Well this morning my small noises became loud noises and my steering wheel shimmy turn into rapid shaking and I knew something was not right.

I limped it home only to find the jack was broke and I had to do the Afro engineer mod to jack up the truck. Only to find that my wheel had way too much play and could turn it quite considerably I\'m all dirrections. So made a phone call to confirm my diagnosis and BAM ****ing drivers hub is gone. Not quite as bad as some peoples hubs but I guess I cought it before my whell fell off and really efed up some stuff.

Ordered a hub from rockauto so it should be here next week. In the mean time I\'m pushing an escape around til my truck feels better.

Also I just broke the 83000 mile mark

Oh and I guess this could explain when it has felt like my truck was wondering while driving down the highway the past couple of days

You put FML for that? Seems almost normal. It is a pain that everyone went to unit wheelbearings instead of normal.

I put FML because I don't really have the money to spend to fix it. I would rather spend it on Christmas and mods

I agree. A $500 hub job would ruin Christmas for my family. I would be like "Sorry about your luck". I'm sure they would be pleased.

Im glad you started this thread Ben. This morning I was backing into a park with my wheels almost fully locked to the right. I then heard this really nasty noise from the front left as I was backing up.

Ive also heard clicking, almost like a popping noise on and off from the front left for the past year.

I might need to check my hubs lol.

Sounds more like your CV's bro... If your hubs made that much of a popping noise then the wheel would be wobbling all over the f'n place.

Thread hijack.

Well the popping is on and off. It will make a popping noise for a couple if days, and I can feel it in my steering wheel. It only last for about a day or two, then goes away for about a month.

End hijack.

Got the New Hub on today with some help from Marcus. Didnt take too long. COLD AS HELL out there today in the Driveway.

The bearings were pretty much gone. The seal was off.

Upon examination of the factory hub I realized it was made by Timken the same company my new one was made buy and it was over $100 cheaper than the motorcraft hub (which more than likely was the same Timken)

Ill post up pictures of the hub when I warm back up. been outside all day
