Just rebuilt my transmission Now it only has one gear
Awesome I found out how to post a new thread thanks to my beautiful wife.
So I just finished rebuilding my 99 Ford Ranger 2.5 l 4 cylinder two wheel drive automatic 5r55e transmission.
I got it all back together and it only has one gear talk to many people some say that it's the torque converter my little brother who help me rebuild it swears that it is an electrical issue one of the housing Clips on the TCM he think he heard it crack whenever we were pulling it off. So that may be the issue.
I was aI was also told that it could be the transmission pump or one of the solenoids or all of them themselves which I do not believe because the vehicle was running properly before I decided to do the rebuild the only reason why I did so is because the flywheel snapped I had to replace it so I replace the flywheel and did the rebuild at the same time. I also installed a new starter and a new battery.
Went to AutoZone and I was going to buy a new range sensor for it because it was a suggestion from my little brother he said they go out a lot but whenever I was at AutoZone the guy there said that the vehicle would not start if that was the issue so I did not buy a new range sensor.
I commented on this forum to somebody else's post with my
Phone number and email address I am not sure if that is okay. So I will not do so on this one because I really need help and do not want to get my post denied. But if it's okay I would love to share my information for you guys to be able to contact me. Please help if you can thank you in advance and God bless.
