Texasranger, I'm glad you're ok. That could have been far worse. With that said, I need to vent a little to all the cop bashers that commented...
Cops are cops, not taxi drivers. It's not their responsibility to drive people places. For the most part, the transporting they do is to the jail. The officer had nothing to do with the refusal that the OP signed with the paramedics. File a complaint? I don't get it. If anything, the wrecker driver should have given him a ride. This thread pissed me off and I didn't even read all five pages. They guy starts a thread about how his truck got wrecked and everybody turns it in to a cop-bashing thread.
You have to remember that there are two sides to every story and we have only heard one. Not all cops are a-holes and I can't understand why the cop wouldn't have at least offered him a phone to use. It's possible theres more to the story....

^^i totally agree that they are cops... however aren't they people too?? a fellow human being just flipped his truck multiple times and got his world rocked... he for sure wasn't mentally stable and definantly dazed and in need of assistence.. maybe its not in the cops written rules to give rides or they didnt teach them taxi service tips in the academy, but when a fellow citizen needs a ride. the cop could at least lend a helping hand... treat others how you would like to be treated, what if that cop had needed help? im sure he'd like some assistance and i bet the OP would have helped him out...

I think there is a gas station a few miles down the road, they have a phone, I would let you use mine but I'm almost out of minutes, sorry.
Just to make it a little more clear.. I'm not sure if he said this but he was a good 15-20 miles from home and that stretch of road has little to nothing on it business wise, let alone open at that time of night.
im interested in the tires!!!!! dont listen to roach i want the tires!!!!!! but glad to hear your ok lee, that was a pretty bad accident but it kinda sounds like you drifted off to sleep and turned your wheel to sharply. but idk just what it sounds like to me. hope your not feeling to bad.
exactly, what if you drove up on a cop that just rolled his car, and stopped to make sure he was ok, then said well I'm not a taxi service so you need to find your own way back to the station cause I'm busy.
