Hey everyone,

I'm new to the ranger forums and recently after installing new LED bulbs to my 08 ranger sport 4x4, when I turn on my marker lights or all of my lights entirely both of my rear tail lights flash when I go to use my turn signal and my front turn signals work fine it's just the rear ones that flash as if I have my hazards on. I updated both the flasher relay and even the turn signal lever but still nothing and I'm wondering if there is a shortage in a wire somewhere. if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. thanks!

 

Does this happen when you had the regular bulbs in them? Could be the cheep LEDs.

 

Did you add resistors in parallel with your new LEDs?

 

That’s one thing I haven’t tried yet, but these bulbs are from diode dynamics. Definitely not cheap but I’m wondering if maybe i need higher luman bulbs in the rear since i got ones that aren’t as bright?

 

i have resistors in the front for my headlights but none in the rear since i have the LED relay flasher

Uh... why?

 

because I had a flicker issue and a canbus anti flicker device didn't do it. now my headlights are fine. as for my taillights.. only when I turn my light **** on to either my marker lights/full exterior lights for night time is when I get the duel flash in the rear when I go to use my turn signals.. the rear tail lights flash as if my hazards are on. the front turn signals are totally fine.
