I have no clue what this is, and my Ford dealership doesn't either. I have a 2004 Ford Ranger XL 2.3L if that helps. Its very basic. Crank windows and manual locks. I don't want to remove it unless I know it wont hurt the truck.

Thats pretty cool. The truck didn't come with a keyfob though. Would I be able to find one that would work for it? Or is it designated to a certain one?

 

if the previous owner didnt give you the remote you should remove it before it disables your vehicle and leaves you stranded
