MAF issue (not sure which sub forum to put this in)

My 95 2.3 was having real bad jerking at slow speeds and sometimes the power would randomly cut out and come back in a few seconds. I though it was the MAF sensor so I bought a new one online. I installed it but now it runs terrible and sometimes stalls on idle. Do I need to reset ecu and cruise around a little bit? As anyone else had these issues?

Test your battery and see how many volts the alternator is putting out while running. should be around 14v running. You can see if its that. But I had a similar issue and I think getting a new ECU fixed my 92 ranger
