Manual crank window advice needed

My 2008 driver side window crank gear and mechanism died. I replaced it with an aftermarket unit and find that it stripped the inside plastic cogs on the window crank handle. Got another set of handles, and the same happened. Have tried various glues to try to supplement the grip, but after an up and down or two, the glue gets chewed up, too. So, have any of you encountered this problem and found a solution to being able to wind the window up and down.

I assume it worked fine for say 14 years, 2008 to 2022, and regulator failed, but not the handle/crank, so you replaced the regulator, and then 2 handle/cranks have failed......................

I would say, with 100% confidence, that the new regulator is the problem and you won't solve it with new or different handle/cranks

1993 thru 2011 Rangers used the same window regulators, manual or electric, pretty much the same doors except for different mirrors in 2006
So wrecking yards should have them, and new they are only $30, so $15 at wrecking yard

Do you have the window tracks lined up, so window slides up and down easily when regulator was out?

LMC truck sells the regulators and handles, they usually provide good parts, seen here: https://www.lmctruck.com/1983-11-for...dow-components
