The Mods You regret.
not planning anything out,, currently regret my plastic bed rail caps that are cracking, shouldve gotten a spray on.. and maybe the last 2 sets of rims aswell,, and the last set of tires,, though I like my current setup just took too much money to get to..
I love the way my truck is now, and have tons of plans for it in the future, thousands and thousands of dollars of plans... but i regret doing superlift and 33's then adding a body lift and upgrading to 35's a month later, i wish i would have just done it all at once, it would have saved me about 500$ ( but atleast ricky got a good deal on 33's out of it) and i regret cutting my valance around the tow loops, i should have waited till i got some level 2 hooks and a front hitch, but thats a work in progress so we will see how it turns out, worst comes to worse i will just buy a new valance.

Lol I get ppl trying to race me as well...course I don't ever do it cause my truck is not exactly what you'd call fast lol
I feel the same about my hood though. I love it but sometimes I wish i didn't do it. My hood probably gets more comments than any other mod I've done, but I dunno sometimes I just wanna see the truck all one color again. But at the same time I know if I was to have it done all red again I'd miss having the silver on it.
messin with the shifter.. i hate every mod i have done to it
i missed a joint that had to be welded.. it was covered up by a pipe
and yes, those are vice-grips attached to an old welder shield-tip thingy

I regret not buying an 03, and I think I probably paid more for my truck then I should have.
I HATE these chrome bumpers they are terrible and I want to do black head lights and a black billet grill. I dunno what to do about the bumpers either!

EWWW!!!!

im the opposite, i love my painted interior. i love every mod ive done, but the people talking about the signal mirror i know exactly what you mean. i broke the mirror first try, but told ford it just broke and they replaced it. and now my right mirror doesnt want to move, but i still love 'em
i never painted the interior cause i thought it was ghey the first time people did it about when i started driving. And also glad i never did the tailights. but i did way back the first years of my truck did stupid hickricer things to it like neons and extra running lights, and the flam'n blue ford paint i decided to paint my brakes and t-bars with, cause it keeps coming back after i paint it black..
other than that nothing really cause its been alot of cheap mods that have made it a perty fun truck to have.. but the t-bar max cranking was a bad idea, but seemed badass at the time. now it rides like ****.
but now i only do well thought out things and nothing close to the stuff i used to think of doing 5-6 years ago.. it really does change after you get older.

Me being middle aged and having gone down this type of road before.. I can say that now-a-days I make pretty careful decisions when it comes to buying / modifying stuff.
I can without a doubt say that in the 7 months I've had this ranger I am pleased with everything. The truck bought through a year end clearance on top of a discount, the e-fan I had laying around, the underdrive pulley, the speakers, & the K&N intake.
I look fwd to a bama tune *pretty soon* and a dual outlet exhaust within a year. When these tires are wore out I wanna try a nice set of 15" wheels and maybe lift it an inch or so.
IMO what has always been my biggest regrets is modifying a vehicle only to sell it within a couple years. It's a HUGE loss in money usually.
So far I have 10k miles on the FX4 and there are two areas I'm a little concerned with. 1) Rust.. I'm a bit supprised at how much rust it's getting on the undercarriage. 2) Rattles in the pass door since I put the speakers in. (I just need to take the panel off and fix it.. no biggie there)

The mod I regret most was on my old 95 when I rearranged the front end and the drivers side doors of a Pontiac Grand Prix. I T-Boned a guy because he ran a stop sign. I made out good on the insurance and all, but that led me into several inferior vehicles until a year ago.
The "mod" I regret on my 96 is the cap. Not really a mod, but it seems to get in the way more than it helps me. I have to remove it today to pick a 50" wide patio set.

Shouldn't have sold it, Should have paid it off instead. After I bought the house It turned out to save me nothing and I practically gave the truck away.
But in the Grand scheme of things, I have a way cooler car now, that has twice the mod potential. Not to mention I haven't had to explain why I thought it was cool in weeks, unlike the ranger.
