more sport trac inquiry...

I thought that all gauges were built for 4x4s from ford? I assumed when i just installed my sport trtac gauges that the 4x4 lights would work.

am I missing something or do 4x2 sport tracs not have the spot for 4x4 lights???

there is no place at all for the 4x4 or do you just need to put a light in? I dont have 4x4 so i dont know what you should have, but i did notice when i changed gauges that not all the avalible lights have a light in them.

i dont think i helped at all.....

haha, yeah probably not...

no but seriously, it had the slot for them and i put the 4x4 bulbs from the old gauges into the new (i swapped the whole unit) but theres not the little translucent areas for them...

i just went ahead and put it all back together and ill worry about not having 4x4 lights later.

If it was from a 4x2 Sport track, they dont have 4x4 translucent spot. You need one from a 4x4.

yeah so that part sucks, and i put it all in and together in the daylight, so I never got a good look at the glow settings and now i come to find out that 2 or more bulbs must be burned out.

im just gonna leave it anyway, but ill re-pull it and replace the bulbs...

I figure im well enough aquainted with my truck to know when its in 4wd...

yup yup. the sport trac cluster i got was from a 4x2 as well. you jus hafta get the guage for a 4wd on that side. it plugs right in and the cluster is already "wired" for it
