Mouse nest in blower motor

Took apart the blower motor housing to find out why the was noise coming from there only to find a few dead nasty smelling mice in there. Got it cleaned out and there was a bunch of insulation or filter media jammed in along with them. Now I know rangers dont have removable a/c air filters, but was there ever any type of filter media in there?

No, the mice brought it in for nesting material, may have come from outside insulation on heater box???

The silver reflective stuff: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/a...1&d=1341274326

No, it almost looks like the factory sound deadening or insulation. I was curious because the stuff was trapped between seems so I thought it may have been factory material.
