Even if you some how caused the fire which I doubt you did. Like say I put a new alternator in or something like that and it shorts out and burns up. That's no different then you putting in a bad E-fan controller. You are allowed to put non stock, non factory parts on. Even if they did think arson, that would be next to impossible to prove. Arson in a house is easy to prove they look for signs of gas an oil and chemicals not found in a house. How the heII could they prove it was arson in a vehical that is full of gas and oils.

Even if you put a major butcher wiring job in and you totally caused it as long as you didn't do it on purpose I think the insurance company still has to pay for it.

Besides premium hiking a couple days later and automatically charging your credit card without yor consent or notification of the rate change, I am not the first person to experience this "total loss of vehicle and esurance not caring thing".

I'm looking for the link, but there is a woman on a scam complaint forum. She posted about two weeks ago. Her Suburban was totalled and it's sitting in her driveway two months later. She is still making payments and paying insurance to satisfy the loan company. All b/c Esurance is dragging their feet giving the woman a run around.

I am getting aggrevated and pushing this a little bit because I don't want that to be me. I'm trying to avoid that kind of situation. Not b/c I torched my truck and wanted a new one, b/c I'm some college kid who can't afford payments.

Please! I have my own business and do quite well financially. If it weren't for accrued savings(for use in emergencies), I wouldn't be able to take off work to deal with this sh*t. Thank God I'm not some broke college kid, I'd be in a much worse situation.
The women with the suburban needs to stop makeing payments, as long as she makes payments it will never get fixed. One word "Lawyer"

For real I would stop paying the laon and let them repo it when the bank finds out it will be the bank that has the insurance in court.

honestly I don't know why I'm defending anyone on RPS lol, but he was asking not telling none of us knows the full story except you. I think you have done a great job telling us but we can't comprehend the gravity of the situation nor can we see the damage or install in person. I know you were/ are on edge, it's not really your comments that got under my skin about this really, it was the reaffirmating comments such as " that Jdugan guys is a douche going on and on about something he knows nothing about" or whatever was actually said. there's no going on and on and not really any drilling. All the Yes-men over here at R-F that are kissing up like you are gonna hand out parts of your poor truck for free in exchange for their sympathy is getting on my nerves and I'm suprized it's not getting you.

Oh well whatever, I'll leave this thread alone because I'm fairly certain my comments are not helping the situation in the slightest. Best of luck to you mate, hope you get a new truck that is just what you want and also get a nice chunk back from parting out the ex.

Nah man. Like I've said many times over the course of this, and other, threads. I'd feel the same way. "OMG That's crazy, so what are you doing with the parts?" My truck has alot of great parts, it only had 28k miles. It's ashame that it happened but I'd be glad to make something good come out of it. Besides, when I look at alot of trucks now, it's cool seeing my bumpers on Beards Truck, my skid plate on Shane's truck, my Valence on Scott's Truck, my Manik on Rocky's truck. My truck lives on, sort of. lmao I dunno, that's just how I look at it. It's good to know there's interest. I probably wouldn't buy back the truck if I knew I couldn't part it out. I can make some of my money back that the insurance company is going to stiff me out of and alot of ppl can get some premo parts for cheap w/o haggling and getting ripped off by a junkyard. Win-win situation.

Reguardless of motives mass expressions of concern get results =]

So what can I put ya down for Karpe? haha

Ben, I contacted my loan company this afternoon They told me to call back if they start to give me any new problems =]

Appreciate the offer man, but I have no desire to fix. She needs everything under the hood. I mean everything, off the top of my head everything physically connected or in contact with the motor, everything on the pulley system, abs, brakes period, radiator, overflows, it goes on and on. Not worth the time IMO. It would be on a salvage title too, bad news. I stand to make more parting it out, taking what's left after the loan payoff, and getting something else. Sentimental or not, it's time to part with my girl after this one.

I'll have lots of spare parts when all said and done. It'd be alot quicker too. I can't be w/o a vehicle for long. It's already driving me nuts. Insurance company is taking long enough.

Driving my dad's last resort car right now haha. 82 nova (no go) 4 bangin 4door hatch. I feel violated driving it lol. It is a manual one(and only) plus over the ranger =]
