He said he wanted to keep on going but he didn't quite know if he should. I offered to help install new spark plugs after I get off at 3ish.

He did make it to tylers area ok though, other than the crappy gas mileage

If it's sucking fuel down he should pull the vac line from the fuel pulse dampener on the fuel rail. See if it's spitting gas out.

dam couldnt be a worse time, i feel your pain still working on the gas problem-he said its not a maf issue? he checked his spark plugs and wires to make sure there firing?
tell him to put fuel antifreeze in-had same problem few days ago-maybe he bought some bad gas or had some water brewing in there. that would give him poor mileage

Im sure if he makes it to RI dave will be able to help him out doing tests on it to see wtf it is. 4.0L with the mpg's of a unimog
