need to water seal tails

had to remove my new tail lights for the third time due to a new unforseen problem.

water is leaking in through the circled hole and literally half the lens was filled with frozen water. i do not know if the water damaged the circuit board in any way shape or form when it melted and evaporated but hopefully it didn't now that all the water is out and I've been able to clean the lights as good as i can. I'm ready to re-install but before i do i need to water seal the circled hole. please leave any thoughts or ideas.

I'd prolly fit an ABS patch over that lamp socket with a notch to pass the wires ...

... then seal the wire into the notch with RTV or similar (kinda like what's done right above it).

Looks like a small square of ABS (with a notch) could be fitted easily enough (clean surfaces & use "ABS glue" to hold it all as one piece)...

It's an idea (and a bump)
