new ranger which one??

thinking of ordering a new ranger 07 either level11 or fx4 off road, which one? using it as a second car or truck so i dont need to go off road but i like the way it sounds level11, now do i order a manual or auto? which is better for towing my car? i like to shift but if auto is better then ill have to go with that. thanks.

ranger

i like the looks of the fx4 off road and level11 compared to the xlts or 4x4's, i might even take it off road since my brother-in law rides his truck off road, just dont like banging up a new truck.

for towing your going to want to have auot... i forget the exact figures but the auto can tow much more then manual...

theres lots of people that get fx4's that dont offroad, just because i buy a STi doesnt mean im going to become a rally champion...get what you want, im sure the 4wd will be nice to if you have snow in your area...

Level 11 lol

The LevelII will have a higher resale value when you don't want it anymore, and like Zach said the auto is better for towing. If you sell your vehicles privately manual would be easier to sell, but Auto would get you more dollars on a trade-in

took a ride in a 07 ranger today after work the sport model 4x4 manual then i rode the sport 4x4 extra cab 4 door auto, i liked the manual 5-speed seem to have more snot? then the auto which seemed good but not as powerfull as the manual/ weird!! level11 would be nice with the 5-speed and the heck with towing, not sure if ill even tow anything with the ranger. not sure yet but he said i could get a off road fx4 auto 4x4 4 door for under $23.000 less with manual?? what to do??.

I would go with a LII in an auto for what you need. that's just my thoughts though.

auto with the 4.0 didnt do it for me, then i took out the sport 4 door 4x4 4.0 manual much better and seemed more power, i like that i can control my shifts? the auto seems to be just flat and i pushed it hard, i like the 5-speed manual level11 in that redfire metallic, i dont think that the 07 level2 comes with a manual transfer case? they looked and couldnt find it??.
