I just picked up a 95 ranger xlt and the dome lights wont turn off, I already sprayed penetrant in the latchs, and they seem to be working fine, door ajar light goes off when they close, and the wheel on the dash isnt clicked past full and seems to be working fine aswell, when its clicked on the bed lights stay on and when clicked off the bed lights go off, so those were my first 2 ideas, you guys got any on why the domes are staying on anyways?

Welcome to the forum
XLT should have MAP lights and there is a switch on the Dome light fixture that can be broken so MAP light not dome light is on
Could be 2 things, the GEM module or interior light relay
The GEM module runs all the electrics in the cab, its behind the radio
When door is opened GEM gets a Ground signal from that door, it turns on Door Ajar light, and then it grounds the interior light relay turning on dome light
When door is closed GEM unGrounds interior light relay and dome light goes off
Fuse 27 in cab fuse box powers interior light relay and dimmer wheel dome/cargo light
Interior light relay can be a pain to ID
It is in Relay box1, which is above gas pedal and faces e-brake pedal, has a cover over it, and several relays inside
Relay box 1 layout EXAMPLE: https://www.2carpros.com/images/ques...2/original.jpg
It can be different depending on your Rangers options
What you can do is to open relay box, key off
pull out fuse 27 and interior relay should "click" open(off), put fuse back in and it should "click" closed, because door has to be open to get to fuse box, lol
So you could ID which relay by the "click", have your finger on it
Its a common relay and you could move the horn relay over to replace it to see if dome light goes off with door closed, tap the horn to see which relay that one is
If new/other relay doesn't turn off dome light then you will need to look at GEM module
Battery Saver relay is also in there, it cuts power to interior lights(fuse 27 and others) after 30min of key off/doors closed, so leave that one alone
