got this junk for over three grand came with snow plow... 87 ranger... tag says 2.9 under hood , but that means its a six cylynder... but there is only four spark plugs in this thing...and only four fuel injecter plug ins...have not even had this thing for about 8 months and needs rings, valves, and a new clutch because there has been no compression since i bought it...oil is leakin back thru to carb thru hose on valve cover big time... place bought from swears its either 3.0 or 3.1 ...but to best of my knowledge 2.9 and up is 6 cylynder...im ready to blow this thing to moon...the place were i got this thing wont do anything to help me but sell me another car...never again will i buy anything from them....help me please....confused...

Post the VIN and maybe someone can tell what originally came in it.

 

post a pic of the motor. ford never made a 3.1...rangers came with 2.0,2.2,2.3,2.5,2.8,2.9,3.0,4.0

how many exhaust runners? are you sure you just cant see the other two spark plugs?
