Noob curb jumping

So with my new truck and fresh snow fall, I got a little zealous and wanted to fishtail a little. Well my foot was a little heavier than it should have been and I hit the curb and went up and over it with the passenger front tire. That's all I did. Now I'm new to the whole ranger fun and just wanted to check with the more experienced crowd. If I hit the curb at no more than 15mph, I should not have hurt anything, right? I'm figuring this is the type of abuse that the truck was made for (with stock everything). Can the kind people at r-f put my mind at ease!?

It's a 2009 FX4...just for clarification.

x2 feel for a wobble when going down the road around 40+ mph. look for a bent spot in the rim that devoured the curb. if it doesnt pull, wobble or show signs of a stress mark in the rim you'll be fine... if it bothers you that bad, go to your local goodyear, tire kingdom or firestone where they'll usually do free alignment checks.

If it drives straight and doesnt have any noticable shimmy at speed you're okay. You might not get so lucky next time.

One thing to note however, is keep an eye on your tire pressure. If you bent the rim,you may have caused a slow leak.

Thanks for the quick advice. I felt like a horse's ---! It's been 6 1/2 years since I've driven a rear wheeled vehicle full-time.

Be careful then. 2wd Rangers, as with any 2wd truck are absolute crap in the snow.

Put some weight in the bed over the axle (around 200lbs should help) and get rid of the Goodyear Wrangler RT/S's immediately if that's what you've got on it right now.

"uhhh yeah, your alignment seems fine but your ball joints...blah blah blah...control arms blah blah blah.....we strongly reccomend...blah blah blah.....$500."

That is what I get every time I've had a "free alignment check"

I've hit a few things with my wheels, I've gone off a curb at about 40 lol, much easier than up though. just drive it and feel, inspect your rims and tires for any cuts or blisters. Depends on how you hit it as well..

UPDATE: I drove it 20 miles to work today with no problems. Even got it up to 72mph(by accident) with no problems. I probably wasn't going more than 5-10mph since I had just made a right turn from snow to snow covered road. Thanks for everyone's quick/great response. I just wanted to cma! (that's Cover My A**)

Glad to hear the good news. Like I said though, just keep an eye on your tire pressure on that wheel for the next few days.
