We should get a group together and go off roading or mudding some time. I think it would be awsome to see a few or a bunch of rangers running trails.

Any one else like this idea? Maybe we can go some where and make a weekend of it and go camping or something?

Just an idea

Wow, alot of arguements around here. haha! Like i saw someone say on a few pages back. It's all about Speed. MMMM.....speed. I've taken my 2wd places i never thought it could make it through. But, ofcourse there are many, MANY places that a 4x4 can make it, and I can't. I like the speed and driver skill that it takes to go off-roadin' in a 2WD. I mostly just use mine for racing and trail riding. Those are my preferences, thats all that matters to me. Enough with my rambling on........heres a pic of my 1999 2WD parked at my buddy's place.Name: 069.jpg

this thread sucks. I saw EIGHT pages and thought SWEET! there's gonna be parts lists, pics, years and models that kits are limited to...I know what mod this thread needs..."thread delete"

or better yet, make a sticky for it and change it to blink rapidly in random colors and read: "want to thread-jack? COME HERE"

I feel bad for whoever started the thread, which I noticed was very nice about the first 3-5 pages of DUMP

OP never said anything about posting a parts list or model lol. Just wanted to see what 2wd rigs looked like. This is like "post a pic of your ranger" thread lol

yeah, I may have gotten a little excited/over the top with what I thought people might post in EIGHT pages...but still. the thread has like 2-5% pics...almost worthless, sad cuz the ones that are posted are good. it'd be worth starting over in a new thread.

I'm not really worried about it. Like I said tho, I was a bit agitated after reading all 8 pages of DUMP.

I'm not going to get into the 4X2 vs. 4X4 argument but I can tell you that I am amazed at what I can do in my Ranger ever since I put a Powertrax No-Slip Locker in my truck. It has made a night and day difference vs the stock open diff. Aside from the locker all I have done to the truck that would make it more off road worthy is a T-bar crank and I put some 255-70-16 Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor tires on it.

Here are some picks from today

How much did the locker run you?

You didnt stop reading after about the 2cd page and start scanning through to see if you could find the info you're looking for? That is your fault

you could say that. but it was my "first" day and since I had read so much I just kept reading cuz I figured I'd might miss something. but no, I didn't really miss anything at all. And like I said, once I saw 8 pages I was estatic thinking maybe there'd be more details as to some specs and such. So I was already interested in reading everything.

whiteedge, I'm guessing those are 31.10.50's on stock rims? Your pics are great! thanks for posting! I especially like the first one

I think it ran me about $485 when it was all said and done. I did the install so that saved me some money.

Thanks, and I would not mined seeing your truck in person some time. I want to see how the 265-75-16 tires look on your truck.

The tires are 255-70-16, so it is about a 29.5" to 30" tall tire and the width is about 10.5". My rims are stock but they are 16" not 15".
