Did you install the locker? If so how hard was it? I'm going to be doing that and the SN95 brake conversion in the spring...it's too cold here...:( and I don't like driving my SVT to work (door ding hell).

What pioneer speakers are those?

Yes I did install the locker buy myself, but I had my buddy around for help. Its not hard, all you are doing is removing the spider gears and replacing them with the locker. If I were you I would do the brake conversion and the locker the at the same time that way you only have to open the diff once. The speakers are the Pioneer TS-A6882R.

When I say aftermarket, I meant NOT OEM. If those L1224Rs came from the factory like that, then those ARE legal. I'm talking about aftermarket stuff like APC's crappy stuff and other companies that make stuff not OEM.

everything that is OEM is DOT approved. I was just referring to non-OEM stuff.

They are not OEM for that brake housing, so it could be considered a illegal retrofit. Lighting assembly's are designed around the type of bulb they use, and switching bulbs can alter how the light is thrown. This is why HID retrofits in halogen designed housings sometimes produce awkward and at times even dangerous light patterns. I know that the throw pattern of a brake housing is less critical than that of a headlight, but this is why I think this would be considered a illegal modification. In reality I doubt that you will EVER have any trouble with the law, but given my current situation it is not worth the risk.

Thanks man. You sold me on it, I love how it looks factory and my factory CD player has been messing up. Plus I wanted to be able to use my thumb drives rather than messing with CDs.
