PArts for Ford Ranger 2017
PArts for Ford Ranger 2017
Hello,
I spilled a can of juice on the gear shaft in inside my car. The liquid went inside the lever gear. The gear is shiftronic, when I move the shifter to Manual it does not work. Car works ok in Automatic but not in shiftronic.
I took the car to the agency and they said I need to change the complete Lever. They quoted me pretty high and said they need to import the part it but they did not give me a part number. I Live in Costa Rica so it takes 45 days for the part to get here!
I can't seem to find parts for the ranger in USA. The agency says I need to get them from South Africa which seems odd.
Can you guys direct me to a good parts dealer where I can figure this out?
thanks!

Welcome to the forum
You have a T6 Ranger, made in South Africa or Asia, we never got this model in North America, we called it the International Ranger, they didn't meet US/Canada emission or safety requirements
Our Rangers were made from 1983 to 2011 and were smaller than yours and had different engines and transmissions
Our new 2019 Ranger is based on the same T6 platform but its parts probably won't help you
So "they" are correct, South Africa is probably where you need to check
