PLEASE HELP!! Door chime driving me mental!!

Hello! I need help! I have a 2008 Ford Ranger and the driver side back door doesn't seem to latch tight. Everytime I hit a little bump on the road my door ajar light goes on and the stupid chime. Every 2 seconds all I hear is the chime. I'm going mental. I've used WD40, it didn't work. I'm not really sure what it could be, need a new latch maybe ? I know you can disable the chime but I would like to fix it if I can cause its very noisy when driving. Anyone have any ideas ? I listened to it for hours today and couldn't handle another day of it lol

You sprayed the latch and it didn't help... just a thought, spay the door hinges, front and rear door, work the door to set the lubricant, also spray the front door latch !

Just talking here, something I would try !

Take off the door panel and reach down inside the door and unplug the 2 wire connector on that door switch

All the door switches are OPEN when door is closed, so unplugging any of these switches is like having the door closed all the time, so no Door Ajar or Chime from that one door when switch is unplugged

Rear door panel removal here: youtube.com/watch?v=xSTeNol3kPg
