I've tried calling a few local places that sell transmissions. I even had a junkyard tell me the best option was to sell it to a scrap metal place that wants to give me 12 cents per pound. Any ideas? Do I need to make more calls? The transmission is off a v6 3.0 1996 xlt. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Do you really think there's anyone looking for a bad transmission on craigslist? It needs a new torque converter for sure.
