Power Door lock conversion?

I tried to search, but it kept telling me fatal error so..

I wanna put power locks in my truck, but I don't want the switches in the truck. Just the power locks with the OEM keyless entry.

Will my door cards work? Can I get the parts out of say an explorer? What would I need besides the actuators? I assume there is a keyless entry module?

Thanks guys.

Would probably be a lot easier and cheaper to put in an aftermarket system.

I have an aftermarket one off ebay shipped to my door was about $45. came with instructions specifically for the ranger. It's a remote lock system, but im sure you can add switches in the door panel. I havn't yet installed it though. The remote you can add different options to it, like remote start, alarm, etc.

Yeah I was looking at them on ebay after I posted it this, but I just hate the cheap looking remotes they come with. I'm very OEM+ styling, so I wanted to stick with an OEM remote.

I don't want the switches in the door panel. Cheapens the look of the car, and I have a two door, so it's not much to reach over and unlock it.

Gotcha.

Anyone else do an OEM keyless install?

Maybe can supply me with part #'s for what I'd need at the dealer?

It's not hard, but it is time consuming. Don't get the parts at Ford, the CSM is expensive. Get a 01-03 Ranger CSM from a salvage yard and make sure you get the connectors and at least 6-8" of wire w/ it.

edit: the CSM is in the glovebox. I was playing w/ a RAP when I took the pick.
