Question for y'all
Hey y'all I'm new to all this but I have a question. I have a 1995 4x4 4.0 auto xlt that I have up for sale for 1,500 with 284,000 miles on it. It needs the intake gasket done and a brake booster and master cylinder that come out to just under $300 on rockauto. Is my asking price not rite or what.
thank you

Welcome to the forum
So the truck doesn't have brakes now so no test drives?
Generally speaking small pickup trucks that run are worth minimum $1,000, working 4x4 could add $500
You need to look at your LOCAL Craigslist for similar vehicles, as see what they are "ASKING" thats not what its worth just whats being asked for, a buyer decides what its worth
Problem is the not running thing, "only needs" in a car for sale ad puts people off
A 25 year old used car is not expected to be perfect, but when you KNOW there is already a problem then....................
Spend the $300 and ask $2,200 and take $1,800

What RonD says
If it really only needs $300 in parts, fix it yourself and sell it for $2000.
You couldn't give me a free car that you say only needs " the intake gasket done and a brake booster and master cylinder that come out to just under $300 on rockauto"
I spend that $300 and 2 days of my time fixing it just to find out it also needs another $500 in parts.
If I was after a truck just for parts, and all the parts I wanted were in good shape on yours, I might offer you $500. for a truck that doesn't drive or run.
