raise or lower?
i got a black 2009 ranger and i havent done any mods to it except for the sound system and window tint. in the spring i was thinking about lowering it but i have seen some pretty nice trucks on here that gives me a good idea about raiseing it. id only raise it max 3 inches but i still dont know what to do. Any suggestions?

yeah that is true i do have torsion bars so its not gonna go too much lower, but im leaning more on the side of rasing it and getting black rims with the chrome cap in the middle and mud tires and throw on some step bars or something. there are just so many rims and tires that i like its hard to choose 1 that i will be completly sastisfied with

yeah i knew that i could do the swap's and such but i dont really wanna lower it because of the snow in the winters, like your from ontario too like it could be pretty harsh sometimes(unlike now it hasnt snowed in a few weeks haha) but maybe i could just get new thick tread tires and some new rims without rasing it? not quite sure if that would look good or not

haha right on man im planning on getting some spacers and putting some 2005 stock mustang rims that i got laying around in my garage just till the summer and then and hopefully ill figure out how much money i got and see what i could do for the tires and rims and then use the stock mustang rims for in the winter. It will still look good but i wont be ruining my good rims in the winter haha. BTW are there any ontario meets anywhere? if so where can i check them out id love to go to one. Maybe ill be the youngest one there considering im only 17 haha

Am I the only one who thinks the "lift or lower" threads are completely retarded?
How do you use the truck?
IF you actually plan to use the truck offroad and need clearance and bigger tires, lift it.
If you want the truck to sit lower and maybe handle better, lower it.

to the OP- lift it

Well my opinion on trucks in general is if its 4wd lift, if its 2wd lower it. UNLESS your hauling/towing then dont touch it. But that is mainly for bigger trucks who haul 5th wheels/goosenecks which in your case i HIGHLY doubt you towing a 5th wheel or gooseneck. But ultimately in the end its your choice and you should do what you want to do and what will make your truck look best. If you 4wheel then lift it, if its a pavement pounder then lower it...OR if it stays mainly on pavement but occassionally goes offroad then buy some 31x10.5r? bfg a/t's por something such as that. just my 2cents.:)
