How many 2002 Ranger FX4 and 2003 FX4 Level II's were made. I've searched and could never find anything. The Ford research department were so helpful in getting me build sheets for my 1967 mustang and my 1972 Gran Torino, i thought i would ask them. Here's what i got.

"As per our phone conversation, here are the production figures for the 2002-2003 Ranger.
2002 Ranger Totals- 251,440/ FX4 Package 6,965
2003 Ranger Totals 41,366/ FX4 Level II Package 517."
I kind of wonder about the 41,366 number. i though i read that ford made 206,000 rangers in 2003. I don't know. either way, i thought this was interesting. It seems to me that they built the twin stick level II's with leftover parts from the 2002 FX4. I could be wrong, just a thought.

Its funny you bring this up, cause there was a similar thread a week or so ago and everyone was saying how they never see Level II's and I said I see a bunch every day. This morning, I noticed my neighbors 2002 FX4 first thing in the morning and thought, I am going to keep track of how many level II's (including 2002 FX4's) i see in a day. Today I have seen 7 from here to work and back, That must be why they don't seem that rare to me.

Only 6,965 '02 Fx4 made........two weeks ago I completely annihilated one of those production numbers....I had it in such good shape, and was running like a dream..the Dana 8.8in 31 spline 4.10 rear was smoking tires..the auto trans was a monster..I was just about to get the factory correct Bilstien shocks so I could fit the (correct) 31x10.5r 15s.....then I went power sliding sideways to the left, off the road, rolled it hit a tree and got out seconds before the entire cab was engulfed in flames. . :O...I still wanna cry ....r.i.p. the dream...
