look man, i served my country and am an american. i have a 94 ford ranger.
I would never buy any other brand american vehicle besides a ford truck........but all in all.....the japanese have americans beat. I mean how many people do you know that have ever complained about their Honda or Toyota vehicles? I have never met one. The only people that talk crap about them are the people that would never drive one or have never owned one.

I own a 2k honda civic as my everyday driver and my ranger for hauling and winter.
Look at all the reviews for vehicles and Honda and Toyota are at the top.
And for all those people that say honda and toyota pay consumer reports and others money to rate their vehicles higher are full of monkey pooh.

Those 2 companies are outselling every other for one reason..........reputation and reliablilty.

I love my ranger but my next truck will prob be a tacoma in a couple years.

LONG LIVE FORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GM BLOWS!!!

I had a Subaru Forester before the Ranger and liked it a lot. All-wheel drive, lots of air bags, and pretty peppy. That or an Escape will probably be the next car at our house in 1.5-2 years.

I may be buying a Forester XT here shortly. They are very nice cars and never need anything other than the occasional oil change.

If you are going to look at sport tracs look at a 06 or older, the new ones are UGLY but do ride alot nicer and have a V8 option.

We have a Mariner which is an escape in mercury clothing. I love the styling. It's roomy and the 3.0 DOHC option is very peppy. The front end styling kind of wowed me when I first saw them. 4 people ride in comfort without eating their knees. It's small enough that it is easy to park. There is a supercharger on the market for it (you have to consider that stuff!)

Just what wayne said. The newer escapes are NICE! I think the DOHC 3.0 in them i think puts out something like 200 horses! And look great inside and out. I would defenitly consider one for a wife.

Escape or Liberty. . . I second that.

Or you could get a wrangler unlimited. the 07's even have 4 doors.

that will most likely be the wifes next vehicle. (probably pre 07).
she currently has a TJ.
