i've got line-x, it cost me $565. that is including over the rails (the plastic factory ones were already comming up).

woods-rider is right, rino is more rubbery, line-x is harder.
rangerboy is right about musclefords' coment. it doesn't need uv coating every year.
the sales/application guy also told me not to get the colour added since it fades badly. he saved me $50-$75 and was honest. he also said they use it in construction sometimes. including in the pentagon. it's tough. period. he also said, after an accident, sometimes all they have to do is bang out the dent and the line-x helps it retain it's original shape.
i've had a car battery, some yard clippings, a bike, used car oil, some wicker furniture and a few other things i can't think of. mind you i just got it done last month. i'm sure that i'll be putting more things into it.
go with line-x. you won't regret it.

 

honestly, how can loading a 4 wheeler in one time ruin it if you did it right???? Ive had quads in my bed that rubbed the fenderwells and it didn't peel. Ive also thrown logs in it, bricks, large 300# rocks, lumber ect. I don't baby the truck i beat on it and its held up great. Maybe i just got lucky but i honestly think its a great product if you take your time and do it right. If i had the money though, i would go rhino but im in college and i don't.

 

I have Linex and really like it. Just remember top park you truck so the tailgate is pointing down the hill. :)) My body shop saw my Linex and said they like it when it doesn't go over the rails because it has to be reapplied if they replace the sides from accident.
I haven't used Rhino but many have posted how thick it's applied. Thickness means weight and a drop in gas mileage.
I can't say anything for or against Herculiner, I have never used it.

My uncle and grandfather both rolled in this thick epoxy that is the same formula that the US military puts on the submarines. It doesnt give you any grip/rubbery feel, but it offers protection like no other. My uncle works in fiberglass and cement construction and my pap keeps a supply of random stuff (including firewood) in his GMC 2500 because it's main duty is towing the 5th wheel RV. My uncle has had his for 5 years and my grandfather for 3. Both look as good as the day they put it in.

I will look into where to get it.

 

Don't gow with Line-x if you use your bed. It chips like crazy. I have chipped the Line-X in my bosses truck several times. It just doesn't hold up well to abuse. Rhino will not chip. Herculiner is the weakest of the three.

 

Rhino will chip and fade. The prep. work is the most important step. Do it your self if you can and then go get it shot with spray liner. You mite save a couple of hundred buck to.
