Riced-out Ranger
I've been forced to basically make my own exhaust for my truck. I want to run catless, yet use the best mufflers to eliminate sound. The reason I'm changing it is because the stock exhaust is cheaply made, and it is not stainless. I want a perfectly quiet exhaust the will eliminate backpressure and improve mileage and efficiency, without sounding like its "trying to be fast" - My truck is not fast, not fast at all. It has 121 Horsepower at the rear wheels, it gets 22 miles per gallon. Give me a break.
Stock dyno was 245HP at the rear wheels. (mustang dyno)
Current and latest dyno was 381HP/368TRQ at the rear wheels (same mustang dyno)
This is about 440 or so HP as a manufacturer would rate the car (BHP - Measured at the flywheel)
Oh, and I dont cheat and use race-gas, this was 93 octane. I havent tuned for race gas yet.
I wasn't trying to dis the car or anything. I was standing up for it, it's a beautiful car and I've wanted a VIII Evo for a while now
121 rwhp it was, dyno's dont lie. This is with NO powertrain mods what so ever. Also on the stock tune.

The interior trim and vents that are painted are ghay, but to each their own. I really don't see where you'd think it "riced" though. There are far more "riced" trucks in this forum then that truck for sale. Seems someone needs a lesson in rice. LOL

This kid in the parking lot at my college told me I was ricer because I have a SHOCKER sticker on my driver side mirror and my truck is "TRYING" to sound cool (BTW I have the 4.0 OHV with a Gibson catback, so it purrs real nice, nothing ricer-like). I was like.....
"Really? Because you have a Chevy 1500, lifted on what, 6" blocks?, yet on stock tires, have 8 Summit stickers on your rear window, 3M tape fender vents, and on your non-functional hood scoops (that BTW were SCREWED, not taped, to the hood) you have mailbox decals to let us all know what size your engine is? Oh AND you have an exhaust tip? Autozone? So I'm the ricer one, really?"
Haha, the kid didn't know how to react. Saw him the other day wearing an Obama t-shirt and the ghettoest rainbow color New Era fitted hat.......weird eh?

IMO those blue interior lights are pretty ricey. And those "shocker" stickers are like the lamest thing in the world, all they do is just show the world you are a douche bag, I always see them on SRT4's and Honda's being driven by some spikey haired ****.
Okay, JP7s truck is not riced. I have interior lighting under the dash like he does, and in my opinion if the lights are tucked away, and wired in properly with a relay and a switch, I think its pretty cool. Now, when you have neon tubes just hanging in plain site plugged into a cig lighter, than yeah that is riced. I don't have painted interior pieces though, just the stx center bezel.

LOL, when I bought the truck it had these tail lights in it to... I slowley went from..

My favorite "Ricer"

Its like anything, there is a "right" and "wrong" way to mod any vehicle. I like import cars a lot and categorizing them all as junk because there are some stupid people that dont have the money to mod thier car the right way is lame.
And JP7, your Lancer is sweet!

should've ***** slapped that stupid kid
That civic would be rice. But those rally cars defintely aren't rice. When all the stuff on the car is for performance then it doesn't really matter. And since those cars run ~400hp in rallys. And I've seen Evo's on the dyno making 1000hp. I don't really care what you've done to the car when its pushing 1000hp at the wheels with a 4 banger engine.
The wing comes stock.
