Evening folks, recently purchased a 2010 Ranger XLT x-cab 4x2 and a 6' bed. I'm from Maine, home of ice, snow and salt! Needless to say l have the very common rusty bed rails problem. Checked with a Ford Dealership and found only discontinued replacement parts such as all the rails needed to rebuild the undercarriage of this bed. Checked and found no help from the internet. I sure could use some advice on where to go from here. Got all the discontinued part #'s, any chance someone may have some of these kicking around? RJB, Maine

Welcome to the forum

"Bed rails", the tie downs that sit on top of the bed sides????

Or frame rails????

You can buy new beds and rear frames from places that don't salt, lol, and put them on yours, after 1997 the frames halves were welded together before that bolted together

Rangers have a two piece frame, front came in 2 size, regular cab and extended cab(also 2WD or 4x4)
Rear came in 2 sizes, 6ft bed and 7ft bed

All extended cab were 6ft bed and most regular cab, so interchangeable
Only "Long Bed Rangers", all regular cab, had 7ft rear frame and bed

So there are hundreds if not thousands of rear frames out there in wrecking yards, 1998-2011 would be best matches
