Bed Bolts Question
Two years ago I got a spray in liner. They didnt cap the bed bolts and now I have decided to do a BL. I went to the company who sprayed the liner and they said if I were to cut around the bolts or if they were to the warranty would be voided What do I do?
Here the website about the warranty on the liner/

well you only need to get to the head of the bolt which is a T55. I would try loading up the opening with some sort of stripper but make sure u don't get it on the bed itself. That will clear up the head im sure. I used Citristrip on my tail lights to remove night shade and it worked well, doesn't smell bad and it wont be as potent as other stuff unless you let it sit for a while. It might just soften it up so u can remove the bedliner with a screwdriver or something.

My Line-X place told me that in an older truck like mine they cant guarantee that they can get the bed bolts loose and will spray over them unless you request that they at least try to get them out. I didn't want that so I removed them myself, sprayed them down with PB Blaster and reinstalled them loosely before I took it in so they'd have no excuses. Also, I think it helps to ask for exactly what you want them to do not just show up and tell them to spray it. I was very specific about what I wanted done and even included pics. IMO, if you're spending $500 you should get exactly what you want...don't be afraid to ask.
Those bolts are a major PITA to get loose, especially the rear 2 since the C-clips will spin around towards the back of the frame while you are twisting full force on them. I couldnt get my impact to budge them so I used a huge 1/2" drive breaker bar, a GOOD T-55 1/2" drive socket (Craftsman) along with lots of PB Blaster to get mine out. Fortunately they all came without breaking and I didn't trash the torx bit but it's not easy and the whole time you'd swear the bolt is going to snap in half.
I stated in my other post about the tie down hook bolts too. They broke 3 of them also trying to get them out but were cool and got them extracted, ran over to the parts place, and replaced the bolts they broke. WHile that should be expected, I was happy I didn't have to mess with it.

I mean, what if you brought your truck into Maaco(sp) and got it repainted. Would they mask off all the windows or would they just paint over and expect you to live with it? The shop that did that to you seems to be just f'ing lazy when it comes to doing shyt the right way.
