Side Bed Protectors

Hey all, my truck didn't come with anything along the edges of the bed. Just has a factory bedliner. I was wondering what my options are to cover the paint up top there. On the tailgate, there is a piece of black plastic that protects the paint, but nothing on the bed running from behind the cab to the tail light area.

Is there factory stuff that i'm missing here? Thanks for any input.

Jason

There are factory bed caps that were an option from the factory. I'm sure you can find some on e-bay.

Or you could go buy some roll on herculiner and just do the bed rails.

Thanks, I wonder why the original owner skimped out on the bed rail caps... seems like it's worth the money to save the paint to me.

The reason I asked is because I started a job a few days back doing landscaping, and my truck bed has been getting a lot of use.

I appreciate the help!

Jason

I have the low profile bed rail protectors that came on my truck. I just checked my window sticker and it doesnt list them as an option. I would have to assume that they were stock. But I do have a Flare side bed so they might be stock on mine but not on a fleet side bed.

A 5'x7' sheet of aluminum diamondplate here is about 150. Normal cost to shear it is 1$ per cut.

Do a Google search for: pickup truck bed caps

You'll get a lot of hits and info.

Or as one guy said buy a gall. of Herculiner, follow the instructions carefully, and put on at least three coats. Carefully tape off the edges before applying.
