if you re-oiled your filter id clean your MAF cause thats what happens to my truck if it gets oil on it and you should do it anyways since you oiled your filter.

get special MAF spray when you do it. any little oil on it will make it run funny

So should I order this part through ford since its not just the EGR, but the hoses and whatnot? I am going into ford today around 1 for the recall notice. I will tell them and ask how much one costs and if its ridiculously over priced for a small piece of plastic and some hoses ill just make my own. It doesn't look too complex

Sorry I don't have a pic but I'll try to describe how my 06 looks.

In that close up picture you describe the eldo as if it has collapsed. I don't think so. I think it's fallen rotating 90deg downward and only appears to be collapsed.

Mines constructed like this:

The vacuum port is on the pass side right behind the TB. There is a rubber hose that exits towards the pass fender; makes a 90 rearward, makes a 90 towards the driver side along the rear of the motor; and plugs right into that elbo pictured. The elbo makes a 90 facing the front of the motor; is clamped to the PCV; and the PCV is plugged into the drivers side valve cover.

Also, on mine there is a coolant line that "T" into the heat core hose. It's return line is right in line and makes bends with the vacuum line I describe above. It also plugs into the TB area presumably for pre-heating the intake charge.. or keeping the TB warm.

luckily they had the part in stock. Cost $60 for probably less than 3 dollars of material.

I have a question. When I took my old one out, the long tube you see below is connected to it. You can just pull it out since its so close to the firewall. Do I have to remove the top of the intake manifold to put it in or what do I do. I have the engine cooling off right now even thought its 100 degrees out side and I probably wont get to it til tonight..I also bought some CRC MAF cleaner from pep boys so ill do that also tonight

Ok its on.

I couldn't replace that long plastic tube since it was too long to slide out. The old one was fine anyway. The two water hoses was probably the hardest to remove no joke. I had to use a mini clamp to clamp those tube harnesses while I pulled. A little bit of liquid leaked out but not much. Other than that it was an easy install. I fired it up and it idled right at about 1 for 10 minutes and no pinging. I shut it off and cleaned the MAF sensor and it idles just a bit below 1.

So everything is kosher now finally. Thanks guys for all the help =]
