So the ranger ingested water....what to do???
i hyrdo-locked mine ingesting mud...
took off the intake tube and after some cleaning drove it home
changed the oil and it shifted terrible. i thought i needed a new tranny, after a tranny flush and a new MAF the truck runs great again.
Probably 15 tanks ago this happened and it still runs good, it hydro/mud-locked so you're not totally dead in the water, you'll probably pull through...

well.....ever since the efan install....the trucks been pissing me off ever since.....granted, it's only been a few months...but problem after problem. I want to trade/sell and get what I origonally wanted, '03 L2...but likely not gonna happen. Run it til she dies, then throw in the 5.0L, solid axle it w/ a d44 and 14botl & keep 'em full size.

Hey....lil update.
Well....after cleaning everything that I could possibly think of.... intake cleaned, iac cleaned, throttle body cleaned, maf cleaned, tps checked out, swapped plugs to new Autolite Coppers, changed oil, seafoamed intake, gas tank, and oil, swapped serp belt to new gatorback, checked plug wires, checked coil.......pressure washed entire underside of the truck, including cleaning the engine. Changed fluids.....rear end, trans, tcase, crankcase.
Anyway....I can honestly say, she's running as good, or even better than she did before. No blowby, awesome compression...I think i'm good.
Only thing that still needs to have attention is the check engine light, and I'm pretty sure I killed the idler pulley.....she wines pretty annoyingly.
Still got the trans problem...damn 1L54's weakness.
I want to thank all yall for your help. I sure do love this site & this community. Thanks again!!

Glad to hear all that.
I was thinking that you would be okay but needed to clean that engine thoroughly. I am sure the check engine light is a sensor that is bad find out which one replace it and you should be good.
