i went to ford and got a new door bezel. the color is black but i was wondering if i spray dupli clear coat on it will this turn the color a shiney black.

 

i changed my gre interior to a shiny silver color and did a few other items in the truck blue.. when i get some time ill post ya pic or 2.

 

in order to get it shiney black finish you need to do a lot of sanding so that it has a completely smooth finish then spray it with an adhiesive promoter, gloss black duplicolor paint, then a clear coat.
Heres a pic of mine, i didnt quite sand it down th best i could have but it came out pretty decent.

im not sure if id really clear coat it for shine as much as for durability, as much traffic as they see.

 

not to mention, i would think the shine would a huge distraction
